Hello I'm Janey Reid and I'm a Pencil/ Digital Artist. I'm able to design business cards, posters, logos, get them printed, digitally line/color artwork, but my best work is probably still in the pencil stage. My style can be very varied and I don't like to pin it down. If I try my hand at something such as anime, pop, or realism- I will try my hardest with whatever project I'm given. But my niche is anime-ish style.

I'm striving to make my own series one day. It's called FoxCry and is a futuristic ‘Slice of Life’/Fantasy graphic novel that describes a society of beings known as Animarians, or 'Unkli', living in secrecy within the decaying human world. The characters are surrounded by their confusing, but relatable and often times comical struggles they face as teens- alongside their more predominant ones they face bearing silent witness as a hated race that should not, and is not known- to even still exist.

No one ever thinks about what the ‘monster’ in a fairytale would feel about being feared and hated. Maybe thinking the monster doesn't have a consciousness. It's just a thing. Imagine being one of those ‘monsters’ and having to hide it from the world. The story is based from the perspective of Inari Cane, the main character, who suffers amnesia and is not only trying to gather her own memories which were locked away due to a mysterious and tragic incident, but is also charged, by her new benefactor, with bringing together a group of unruly but highly skilled oddballs to do good for the Animarians that secretly exist in their world when no one else can. As Inari tries to discover who she truly is, she grows close to the unique and tortured members of her team as they form nothing short of an iron-clad loving “family”. As we watch their ever-evolving highs and lows, the tests of their unbreakable bonds that they share with each other, and the battles that they wage with their own inner-demons- we are reminded of the darkness and light that dwells within every consciousness, and the honest, no bullshit shades of gray that survive together, and taint and enrich a person's heart. I wanted the series to show that our connections to others, in no matter how bleak of a world- make life as tragic, as beautiful, and as worthwhile as it is.
